In plain terms
Home watch in Queensbury and Glens Falls, in plain terms.
Northway Home LLC provides home watch in Queensbury and Glens Falls, New York, about 20 minutes from our base in Saratoga County. A named steward visits the house twice a month, weekly or twice a week, walks a written 24-line checklist, photographs what they find, records the interior temperature and humidity, and posts a same-day report to an owner dashboard. The checklist is the same one we walk on the lake, with more attention to the mechanical room: furnace running, panel checked for tripped breakers, well pressure and water heater observed. Plans are $250, $500 or $1,000 a month; anything outside the scheduled visits is $95 an hour.

02Winter here
What winter does to a house in Queensbury and Glens Falls.
Queensbury is a year-round town, and that lulls owners. Neighbors are home, the roads are plowed, the lights are on next door. The empty house is still empty, and it fails the same way.
01Glen Lake and Lake Sunnyside are small and freeze early. Shoreline ice does the same work on a small dock that it does on a big one.
02Assembly Point and Cleverdale take the full north wind down Lake George. Houses on the point see the coldest readings we log.
03West Mountain neighborhoods sit higher and get more snow than the city below them. Decks and screened porches carry it.
04Many houses here are on wells. A pressure tank in a cold crawlspace, or a well pump that trips in a power cut, is a dry house with no warning.
05A furnace filter that was due in November is a furnace that quits in February.

We provide home watch across Queensbury and Glens Falls, including Glen Lake, Lake Sunnyside, Assembly Point, Cleverdale, West Mountain, Downtown Glens Falls. If your house is nearby and not on that list, ask; the answer is usually yes.
Weekly is the cadence most owners in Queensbury and Glens Falls choose and the one we recommend for a house that stands empty from autumn to spring: in February a supply line can freeze within two days of the heat stopping, and a weekly visit catches the temperature drop, the tripped breaker or the low propane tank first. Twice-weekly suits waterfront with a boathouse and outbuildings, or a house that cannot afford a bad week. Two visits a month suits a well-built house you visit often in a season you trust.
The checklist is the same one we walk on the lake, with more attention to the mechanical room: furnace running, panel checked for tripped breakers, well pressure and water heater observed. The written checklist has 24 lines, walked in the same order on every visit, with photographs attached to the lines and a report posted to the owner dashboard the same day.
